• Jewish leaders - pride got in the way.
    • Acts 2:41 were afraid of losing their power.
    • Acts 2:37 - Notice the different reactions to the gospel.
    • We have many examples of people who swallowed their pride and were converted. We must do the same thing.
  • Ephesians - the gospel threatened their way of living.
    • Acts 19:1-10 - The artisans making idols were losing business because of Paul’s preaching, so a riot erupts.
    • There was no way these people could be converted and maintain their current way of life.
    • Romans 13:13 - Obeying this scripture may force us to make a lot of changes.
    • I Timothy 5:16
  • Agrippa - wouldn’t get past the “almost”
    • Acts 26:4-32 - Agrippa was almost persuaded to become a Christian.
    • Acts 24:24-26 - His reaction was better than Felix’s, but still not good enough.
