I Corinthians 1:18-23 - The Jews had come up with their own idea of what Christ should be and when Jesus did not match their preconceived notions, they rejected Him. People have the same problem today when they assume they know what God’s posisiton is on a matter without studying to see what His position really is.

God doesn’t think like us! He is not obligated to acept our way of thinking.

Tradition is not a source of authority.
