- Luke 13:22-14:24
- Luke 13:26 – Compare Matthew 7:22-23.
- Luke 13:30 – Some who think they are right with God but were prideful and looked to themselves rather than God will be cast out. Those that are last are those that are poor in spirit (Matthew 5:3) and will be blessed by God.
- Luke 13:35 – This could be referring to a future time when every knee will bow, and the people will finally accept Jesus’ message.
- Luke 14:12-14 – It’s okay to swap dinners with friends, but don’t do it to the exclusion of caring for the lame and the blind.
- Luke 14:16-24 – All those who were invited gave excuses, and all were bad. We must be careful not to make excuses to God. He will surely see right through them.
