  • Luke 8:18 – Here the warning is to take care how you hear. In Mark’s account (Mark 4:3-25), the instruction is to take care what you hear. Either way, Jesus is instructing us to be the right kind of hearer.
  • Luke 8:21 – To be in the family of God, we must hear the word of God and do it!
  • Luke 8:39 – Jesus was leaving this place, so He told the man to go and tell what had happened. Compare Luke 8:56 where Jesus wanted the event kept quiet so that He could continue working there.
