    • Hebrews 12:6 – They manifest that we are God’s children

      • Things of value have to be tested and tried.
  • The proper attitude toward trials of faith should involve:
    • Knowing how to recognize a trial of faith
      • I Peter 4:15-16; Matthew 5:10-12; Psalms 119:172
    • Never murmuring or complaining when they come
      • I Peter 1:7; Romans 5:3; II Corinthians 12:10 – They are more precious than gold.
      • II Timothy 3:11-12; Hebrews 12:6-11 – The questionable time is when we do not have them.
    • Realizing that we are not exempted from trials of this life. I Corinthians 3:13
    • Never thinking that some “strange thing” happens to us when trials come. I Peter 4:12
    • Trials should encourage us to greater faith and devotion before God, prayerfully enduring them. Romans 5:3-6
