- Why do you believe the church you are a part of is the right church?
- Not because:
- My parents attended that church.
- Because:
- I believe this congregation is patterned after the way Jesus authorized a church to work and worship.
- This church is right in:
- Its authority for teaching and practice. II Timothy 3:16-17
- Descriptive phrase by which it is identified. Acts 20:28
- Several example names are given in the New Testament. The common theme is that the name must point ownership to God.
- Its answer to “what must I do to be saved?”
- Its worship
- Singing (Ephesians 5:19)
- Prayer (Acts 2:42)
- Studying the Bible (Acts 20:7; I Corinthians 14)
- Observing the Lord’s Supper
- Laying by in store
- Its work
- Meeting to worship
- Supporting preachers to spread the Word of God
- The structure through which is does all this
- Teaching its members to keep self pure. Ephesians 5:26-27
- Not because:
