- I Corinthians 6:12-18
- I Corinthians 6:12 – The “all” here is a restricted “all.” Paul is not saying that absolutely everything is lawful for him. He is simply comparing what is permissible for him to do under God’s law with what is actually profitable for him to do.
- I Corinthians 6:13 – The body is not to be used for immorality. Our bodies are to be used to serve God.
- I Corinthians 6:18 – Some translations (NASB95 and ESV, for example) add “other” in italics, but the body is the agent in all sins that have a physical component.
