  • The demons
    • Jesus is superior!
    • Mark 3:22-25 – Satan was in control of the demons.
    • Luke 4:33-37, 41 – The demons knew who Jesus was.
    • II Peter 2:4; Jude 6 – It’s not necessarily true that demons are fallen angels. The Bible does not conclusively teach this.
    • John 9:3 – The man was blind so that Jesus could heal him.
    • It’s likely that demon possession only happened for a few years in the first century so that God’s power could be demonstrated.
    • Mark 5:7 – There is no battle here. The demons know Jesus is in charge!

  • Jesus
    • Don’t mistake restraint for weakness.
    • John 1:1-3, 10-11 – Jesus is the Creator.

  • The people
    • Don’t be too afraid to make the right choice.
    • Mark 5:14-17
    • Acts 5:10-11 – Here the people fear and esteem the apostles more because of it.
    • How will we handle fear?

    • Be eager to talk about Jesus!
