- Genesis 4:1-15
- Abel’s sacrifice was accepted, but Cain’s was not. Cain became angry and killed Abel.
- God questions Cain, but he does not repent. God punishes him.
- Hebrews 11:4 – Abel walked by faith, but Cain did not.
- Jude 1:3-13 – The “way of Cain” is to reject God and go your own way.
- Conclusions:
- God wants obedience from us! When He gives us a command, He wants it done His way.
- Watch out for jealousy and anger and what they lead to.
- God wants us to do well and not sin. He wants us to be reconciled to Him when we do sin.
- God is just and will punish those who sin.
