- Luke 24:7-53

- Acts 10:3, 9, 23-24 – Notice how days are counted in this account.
- Matthew 27:63-64 – Seemingly different lengths of time are used interchangeably.
- Luke 24:13-35 – Jesus appears to the two men on the road to Emmaus.
- Luke 24:13-16, 31 – See Mark 16:12
- Luke 24:18 – The events of Jesus’ death were evidently already widely known.
- Imagine how many people these two men talked to. This shows the great importance of evangelism.
- Luke 24:36-49 – Jesus appears in the midst of the apostles.
- Luke 24:1, 13, 21, 46 – Some argue that Jesus arose on Saturday, not on Sunday (Sabbatarians). Luke’s account refutes this view completely.
- Luke 24:43 – See I John 1:1-3; II Peter 1:16-18.
- Luke 24:50-53 – This matches up exactly with the beginning of Acts. See Acts 1:1-11.
