- Is baptism, believing Jesus died a spiritual death, in Jesus’ name?
- Jesus did not die a spiritual death.
- Baptism is into the benefit of Jesus’ physical death. Romans 6:3-4
- He purchased the church with His blood, not His Spirit. Acts 20:28
- The saved are redeemed by the sacrifice of His blood, not the sacrifice of His Spirit. Ephesians 1:7; I Peter 1:18-19
- The Lord’s Supper is a memorial of His physical death, not a spiritual death. I Corinthians 11:24-25; Matthew 26:26-28
- Jesus entered the Holy Place once with His own blood, not His Spirit to obtain eternal redemption for us.
- You were not forgiven nor were you added to the body of Christ if:
- You were sprinkled calling it baptism. Wrong mode.
- You were baptized believing you were already saved. Wrong purpose.
- You were baptized believing Jesus died a spiritual death. Wrong sacrifice.
- There is one baptism: Baptism believing that Jesus’ physical death is the sacrifice for forgiveness of sins is the one baptism.
- Jesus did not die a spiritual death.
