  • Lesson 2: Cain and Abel
    • Genesis 4:1-15
      • Abel’s sacrifice was accepted, but Cain’s was not. Cain became angry and killed Abel.
      • God questions Cain, but he does not repent. God punishes him.
    • Hebrews 11:4 – Abel walked by faith, but Cain did not.
    • Jude 1:3-13 – The “way of Cain” is to reject God and go your own way.
    • Conclusions:
      • God wants obedience from us! When He gives us a command, He wants it done His way.
      • Watch out for jealousy and anger and what they lead to.
      • God wants us to do well and not sin. He wants us to be reconciled to Him when we do sin.
      • God is just and will punish those who sin.
