[My apologies - the beginning of this recording was lost. Sorry about that.]

  • Galatians 4:21-5:10
  • Two women representing two covenants:
    • Hagar: Old Covenant
    • Sarah: New Covenant
  • Two sons representing two nations:
    • Ishmael: fleshly Israel
    • Isaac: spiritual Israel
  • The final verdict: “Cast out the bond woman (Old Covenant) and her son (fleshly Israel). The son of the free woman (New Covenant) shall be the Heir.”
  • Galatians 4:27 as opposed to Sarah, who was barren.
  • Galatians 4:31.
  • Galatians 5:3- Anyone who tries to keep any bit of the old law in combinations with the new law is bound to keep the entirety of the old law to be acceptable to God. Of course, it is now impossible to completely follow the old law, so trying to keep any part of it is folly.
  • Galatians 5:9- If they added a little bit of the old law back into their practices, they would wholly fall from grace as far as God was concerned.
