      • John 8:2-11 – Jesus shows compassion on the woman in sin.
      • Matthew 9:9-13 – Jesus showed compassion on the sinners and tax collectors.
      • II Chronicles 36:11-16 – God showed compassion by continually sending warnings to His people despite their sin.
      • If I have compassion like God and Jesus, I will:
        • Be concerned about and aware of the spiritual state of others.
        • Want everyone to be saved.
        • Take action to help people know and obey God.
      • Helping those in need

        • Matthew 14:14 – Jesus was motivated by compassion to heal the people.

        • Luke 10:25-37 – The good Samaritan showed compassion on the injured man.
        • Matthew 25:31-46 – Having compassion should characterize us as God’s people.
        • When I see someone in need:
          • Be concerned.
          • Put myself in their position.
          • See from their perspective.
          • Feel what they feel.
          • Desire to help.
          • Take action.
