  • Lesson 4: Barnabas
    • Acts 9:32-37
      • Barnabas had a reputation for being very encouraging, thus his nickname of Barnabas (Son of Encouragement).
      • Barnabas was very generous. He sold his own land and gave the proceeds to the apostles to help others.
      • We can also encourage others by helping the needy.
    • Acts 9:26-29
      • Barnabas was willing to vouch for Paul when others were afraid of him.
      • We have to be ready to vouch for others when we see they have turned back to God.
    • Acts 11:19-26
      • Barnabas was sent to Antioch to encourage the church there. He was willing to accept the fact that the gospel was for all and helped spread it even further.
      • Barnabas was a good man and was full of the Holy Spirit and of faith.
      • We should also be encouragers and be full of faith.
