Conclusion

  • I need to take the initiative in loving God and seeking Him!

  • Hebrews 11:1-12
  • Hebrews 11 talks about a faith that obeys in love.
  • Hebrews 11:1 – This explains what faith does. Obedience shows faith to God.
  • Hebrews 11:3 – See Romans 10:17. This faith comes from testimony. See Romans 1:20; Genesis 1. We did not see the creation happen but we have reliable testimony about it.
  • Hebrews 11:4 – Cain could make a good argument for the sacrifice he gave, but it was not what God specified. Abel acted out of obedient faith, but Cain did not.
  • Hebrews 11:6 – The world is full of people who believe in God, but do not believe God. They do not believe that they must diligently seek Him to receive His rewards.
  • Hebrews 11:7 – See Genesis 6:1, 6. God used Noah to save a remnant. Noah worked for many years in faith before the rains came.
  • Hebrews 11:8-10 – See Genesis 12; 26; 28. God made promises to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the last of which was fulfilled in Christ. Abraham was looking for a city who builder and designer is God.
  • Hebrews 11:11-12 – At first, Sarah laughed when learning that she would conceive, but then she had faith.

Where did humans come from?

  • Genesis 1:24-31
  • Genesis 2:7, 20-22 – God made man and woman.
  • Genesis 3:20; I Corinthians 15:45 – Adam is called the first man. Even was called the mother of all living.
  • There is no mention of evolution in the creation account.

Fossils that turned out to be humans:

  • Neanderthal
    • Genesis 19:30; 23:19-20 – Cave men!
    • DNA tests show that Neanderthals interbred with humans.

What have we learned so far?

  • There are no transitional fossils between apes and man.
  • Genesis 1:12, 25; 6:19-20

Bias is at work

  • Artists doing work around evolutionary topics are heavily biased and pushed to hold to the view of evolution. The pictures are designed to fit the story of evolution.
  • It has taken a long time to correct errors.

Introduction

We should praise God for the information He stored for us.

  • I Peter 1:22-25 – What happens when you plant a spiritual seed in good soil? You get a Christian!

There’s nothing like the pure, original seed.

  • Galatians 1:11, 15-18, 6-8 – Paul got his message directly from Jesus. He didn’t consult the other apostles until years later.
  • In the Bible, we have the original, 2,000-year-old seed that will still bear fruit!
  • Jude 1:3

We still need good soil.

  • Luke 8:4-15
  • Is your Bible being used? What’s the point of having this great blessing if we don’t use it?
