Our God is Awesome

  • “Awesome” is a word that is very overused today.
  • Psalms 119:161
  • In the Old Testament, people stood in awe of God.
  • God’s creation: amazing
    • We can see the beauty of God’s creation all around us. God created the world for man and turned it over to him.
  • God’s love: unconditional
    • God sent His own Son to earth to suffer and die for us (John 3:16; Romans 5:8). He wants us to have eternal life and gave us rules to follow to take advangage of this.
  • God’s salvation: available
  • God’s mercy: comforting
    • Hebrews 4:16 – God’s mercy comforts us when we repent of our sins.
