  • Out of 89 chapters in the New Testament, only 4 deal with Jesus’ birth or life as a child. Ninety-six percent focus on Jesus’ life and teaching near the end of His life.
  • When Jesus grew up, what did He teach?
    • Matthew 20:27 – We must be prepared to serve.
      • Matthew 20:21-28
    • Matthew 5:43-44 – Love your enemies and pray for them.
    • Matthew 7:21 – Jesus expects people to obey. It is not enough to just say, “Lord, Lord.”
      • Matthew 7:24-29 – Parable of the two foundations.
    • Matthew 10:34 – Jesus did not come to bring peace.
      • Matthew 10:35-37 – Jesus brought peace with God, but not necessarily with other people.
    • Matthew 6:24 – You cannot serve God and wealth.
      • It is ironic that the holiday of Christmas has become so materialistic.

    • I Corinthians 11:24 – Jesus taught us how to remember Him.
      • I Corinthians 11:23-26 – the Lord’s Supper
    • Mark 16:15-16 – baptism commanded
