    • God wants us to continually pray to Him.

      • Matthew 15:36 – when He ate
      • Matthew 14:23 – at the end of the day
      • Luke 6:12-13 – when facing big decisions
        • James 4:13-15
      • Mark 14:36 – when facing trials
        • I Corinthians 10:13
      • Luke 23:43, 46 – when He was dying
    • Ought to be humble (Luke 18:9-17)
      • We should be humble, love, and trust like little children.
    • Ought to trust in God (Luke 18:18-30)
      • We cannot put our trust in material things.
    • Ought to have a purpose in life (Luke 18:31-33)
      • I Peter 2:21
      • Our goal is to get to heaven, but our purpose in life must be to do God’s will.
      • I John 2:1-2

    • Ought to be compassionate to others (Luke 18:35-43)
      • Compassion is serving others.
