  • Keep emotions in check.

    • Instead of taking sides, we should all just be on the Lord’s side.

      • Temperate, gentle, peaceable, not pugnacious – Acts 20:28, 31
    • Don’t be stricter than God.
      • Peter was an elder (I Peter 5:1)
        • On one occasion, Jesus called him “Satan” (Mark 8:33)
        • On another occasion, Jesus said to him “you of little faith” (Matthew 14:31)
        • He denied Jesus 3 times
        • He acted hypocritically and prejudicially in Galatians 2.
